1956 Ford Trucks
Welcome to 1956FordTrucks.com. 1956 saw a new version of the 53-55 F100. Major changes included a new wrap-around front windshield, optional rear wrap-around window, 12 volt electrical with standard electric wipers and a new style door to match the new front window configuration. The front grille was new with recessed headlight buckets. This caused the air deflectors to be dished out to accept the sunken headlights. Side hood emblems and the grille emblem were unique to the 56. Inside, the dash was altered and used a newly shaped glove box, different gauge set-up and minor other differences. Floor panels were different than the 53-55 trucks. A lot of the truck was a repeat of the successful 1955 F100. Major body parts fit the 53-56. The entire bed was the same. Front body parts such as the hood and fenders were the same.
